WPRA Rookie wins Ft. Worth riding Honor Thy Frenchman aka “Bo”.  The left -handed, 8 year old, buckskin 15.2 hand gelding is sired by Frenchmans Feature out of a daughter of Jet Of Honor (allbreedpedigree.com/honor+thy+frenchman)

Taylor is from Carmine, TX.  She purchased Bo from Angela Michaels about a year ago.  Bo was first hauled as a futurity horse by trainer, Marne Loosenort.  The 22 year old is a senior at Texas A&M in College Station, TX majoring in Communications & Sports Management.

The rookie ran a 16.69 in the qualifying round, a 16.28 in the semi to win 1st and running the fastest time of the rodeo with a 16.19 in the final round, captured......

the Ft Worth win with a total of $14,796.  The win put her on top in the rookie standings and set the pace for a possible NFR qualification.

Jacob is no stranger to the winners circle as she had just won the all around titles in the CPRA & the UPRA.  However, Taylor said, “I was so shocked and looked like I had seen a ghost when I found out I won.  I never expected to win anything like this running against so many girls who have already been to the NFR at some time or the other”.
Taylor said, “On my first run my plan was just to make the cut for the semi finals.  On my next two runs I was riding to win.  My game plan before each run was to try to stay calm, tell myself it is only 3 barrels and dirt and lastly just ride like I am at home”.

Taylor also said, “Bo use to have a running style where he dropped his hind end but he fell several times.  He now runs more upright as I think he just learned how to handle the ground better.  I take really good care of him and he is in the best shape he has ever been.  He seems to be running his best and it may be the time to go rodeo.
